Common questions
What counts toward my allowance?
Only text that gets read aloud: the news, weather, traffic, and sponsor scripts Reporter sends to the voice engine. Jingles, beds, and audio you upload don’t count.
Can I run more than one project?
Yes. Each project has its own rundown, schedule, output link, and episode history. Your allowance is shared across all of them.
How does my playout system get the audio?
Every project has a permanent link to its latest episode. Point your automation at it once, and each successful run replaces the file at that address. On Radiocast Panel, Reporter can upload it for you instead.
Can I use my own presenter’s voice?
On Reporter MAX. Upload reference audio on the Voices page, and the cloned voice can be used on any of your projects.
What happens if I run out?
Runs that need new voice audio stop until your allowance resets on the 1st (UTC), or until you move to a larger plan. The app warns you when you’re close.
Need a station to play it on?
Radiocast also hosts internet radio stations. With a station on Radiocast, Reporter uploads each episode and schedules it for you, with nothing to set up beyond picking the station. Your voice usage is always visible under Account.
